WEST HAVEN - Officials held a groundbreaking ceremony in West Haven today where construction began for a new train station on Metro-North's New Haven line.
Gov. Jodi Rell (R-Conn.) was among those present this morning to support the project, which is meant to help ease parking problems at the neighboring Milford and New Haven stations. It will also break up the longest New Haven line stretch without a stop.
Officials say it's expected to be completed in two years.
