STAMFORD - A ground breaking ceremony was held today at Wright Technical School in Stamford.

Officials say they are gutting most of the building and will completely renovate it.

Plans include a new gym, offices, classrooms and media center.

The school has been closed since 2009 and is set to reopen next fall.

Officials say that once the school is finished, it will be more than 200,000 square feet and have more than 200 parking spots.
