HARTFORD - Gun owners are rallying at the state Capitol against the recently passed changes to the state's gun laws.

Members of the Connecticut Citizens Defense League say they feel the stricter laws infringe on their Second Amendment rights. The group says it plans to sue the state over the new law.

The legislation adds more than 100 firearms to the state's assault weapons ban and creates what officials have called the nation's first dangerous weapon offender registry, as well as eligibility rules for buying ammunition.
