CHESHIRE - A judge has denied a request to delay the formal sentencing of convicted killer Steven Hayes.
A jury recommended the death penalty earlier this month for the man convicted of murdering a Cheshire mother and her daughters.
A judge yesterday rejected Hayes' lawyers request to delay the sentencing by two months.
Attorneys claim that the publicity surrounding the case prevented Hayes from getting a fair trial.
