MILFORD - Milford residents got their chance to discuss proposed improvements to Silver Sands State Park during a hearing last night.

The meeting focused on what impact a new boardwalk would have on the area's wetlands.

Mayor Ben Blake says the town must carefully consider plans for public restrooms, a snack bar and more to make sure they don't disrupt neighbors or violate environmental laws.

Blake says residents are invited to submit written testimony of their concerns before the city's next meeting with the state officials regarding Silver Sands State Park.
