HARTFORD - Lawmakers are holding a public hearing in Hartford today to discuss how to spend federal money intended for Hurricane Sandy recovery.

Connecticut got $10.5 million in grants to help in the Sandy recovery effort.

Two legislative committees are reviewing a plan from Gov. Dannel Malloy on how to spend the money.

The money is expected to be used for people who lost their homes.
