Hello Kitty fans line up for snacks, merchandise

STAMFORD - The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck made its first appearance in Connecticut on Saturday with a stop at the Stamford Town Center.

Hundreds of eager fans of all ages lined up to get their hands on Hello Kitty-themed edible treats and merchandise.

Organizers say the first fans arrived more than two hours before the event began and drove from Minnesota.

The crowd included plenty of adults who said Hello Kitty isn't just for kids.
