BRIDGEPORT - Parents in Bridgeport who would otherwise not be able to afford presents for their children "shopped" at a store set up just for them today.

Helping Hands Outreach in Bridgeport set up the shop, and pre-registered all the families through various social service agencies in Bridgeport.

Employees from local CVS stores served as the clerks and donated nearly every toy on the tables.

Parents left with something to put under the tree, as well as something for themselves. One parent said that the event provided "a sense of pride."
