Home invasion suspect out of hospital

SUFFIELD - (AP) - A Connecticut official says a man chargedin the killings of a woman and her two daughters during a 2007 homeinvasion is back in prison, after having been hospitalized in whatauthorities said was a medically induced coma.

Correction Department spokesman Brian Garnett says Steven Hayeswas returned to the MacDougall-Walker prison in Suffield Tuesdaymorning.

New Haven Superior Court Judge Jon Blue said Monday that Hayes'lawyer told him that Hayes was found unresponsive in his cellSunday and was in a medically induced coma at the University ofConnecticut Health Center.

Authorities have declined to confirm a report by The HartfordCourant that Hayes overdosed on medication.

Hayes and Joshua Komisarjevsky, are charged in the home invasionkillings in Cheshire.
