STAMFORD - Stamford police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run crash that left one person with injuries.

The crash occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Cove Road.

Police say a woman was driving a red Saturn sedan eastbound on Cove Road when a car driven by Horlan Aguilar, 22, ran a stop sign on Frederick Street and hit her. Police say Aguilar fled but left his license plate on the scene, which was found by first responders. He was arrested within a half-hour after the crash.

The woman hit a utility pole after the initial crash and was treated for her injuries at a local hospital. She has since been released.

Aguilar is being held on a $10,000 bond and is due in court later this month.
