Hundreds gather for holiday feast in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT - With Thanksgiving just around the corner, hundreds gathered in Bridgeport today for the Kitchen of Hope Feeding Program.

New Hope Baptist Church Director Dorothy Brown says the 10th annual event has been a tradition.

Brown says 14 turkeys, 15 chickens, 40 pounds of candied yams and 20 cakes were given out to families in need.

Guests say they consider this church like a second home for the holidays.

The church also hosts lunches on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
