BRIDGEPORT - Mourners gathered today in Bridgeport to remember Lt. Stephen Velasquez who was killed in a fire Saturday along with Mitch Baik.

Hundreds paid their respects to Velasquez today at the Klein Memorial Auditorium on Fairfield Avenue. Firefighters from across the state and from New York City came to show their support for the fire department.

Velasquez was a father and a 16-year veteran of the Bridgeport Fire Department.

Velasquez?s funeral will be held tomorrow.
