NORWALK - Hundreds of people laced up their sneakers in Norwalk Sunday for a good cause.

The Fairfield County Walk To End Alzheimer's was held at Calf Pasture Beach.

A former co-chairperson of the event says she has been participating in the walk for nine years and that it continues to grow.

She says an estimated 2,000 participated in Sunday's walk.

She also says that the goal is to raise more than $500,000, and that 60 percent of that goal has already been reached.
