STRATFORD - Drivers looking to get a head start on their Fourth of July travel plans dealt with major delays along I-95 Wednesday due to a multi-vehicle crash.

State police say 10 people were hospitalized after an accident involving two coach buses and a tractor-trailer in Stratford. It happened at around 10 a.m. in the southbound lanes between exits 31 and 30.

The victims suffered minor injuries.

Traffic was backed up for six miles at one point, with cars only being able to pass on the shoulder. The northbound side of the highway was also delayed heavily as onlookers gawked at the scene.

The accident has since been cleared.
