RIDGEFIELD - Federal investigators announced today that they may need another two weeks to confirm the cause of a single-engine plane crash in Ridgefield over the weekend. The plane took off from Danbury Municipal Airport on Saturday and crashed shortly thereafter on a resident's front lawn. Investigators say the pilot, identified by family as Robert Baldwin, radioed that his engine lost power. Federal Aviation Administration officials said it may take several weeks for the National Transportation Safety Board to release its findings. Baldwin survived the crash after neighbors on Briar Ridge Road pulled him from the wreckage. Pilot recovering after Ridgefield plane crash
