HARTFORD - Anti-terrorism experts from Israel gave advice to the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission yesterday.

The commission, appointed by Gov. Dannel Malloy, heard from the consultants during a conference via Skype. The Israeli security experts told the commission that any security guards stationed in schools should be highly trained with a background in military, intelligence, or policing. They were also told to ensure the guards have significant authority from the school's principal.

Dov Shiloah says the guards should have a personality to inspire change, as they're the ones leading the way during a crisis.

The commission was also told to be aware of any unusual activities throughout the community.
