Police say James Toigo shot a squirrel in his yard Monday.

MILFORD - Milford police say a man is facing charges after he shot a squirrel in his yard.

They say they arrested James Toigo Monday after officers heard him fire a gun at the animal on Housatonic Drive.

Police say he is now facing several charges including animal cruelty, reckless endangerment and failure to register an assault rifle.

Toigo is due in court next month.
