STRATFORD - Visitors to a Stratford beach are finding unwanted party crashers in the Long Island Sound.

Stratford officials confirm that jellyfish have been found at Short Beach.

Pat Patusky, the superintendent of Recreation for Stratford, says that the jellyfish are a week early this year because of the hot weather.

Patusky says jellyfish season typically ends during the third week of August when the water begins to cool down. She says people should avoid the jellyfish because they tend to sting
