BRIDGEPORT - Former Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim is officially trying to get back his old job.

His campaign announced Wednesday that Ganim has filed paperwork to run for mayor this year.

He is challenging Mayor Bill Finch for the Democratic nomination.

Ganim was convicted of corruption in 2003 and spent seven years in prison.
