STAMFORD - The New Canaan lawyer accused of trying to kill his wife was released from prison today.

John Farren was let out on $750,000 bond. As a condition of his release, Farren immediately went to a hospital in Hartford for mental health treatment.

Farren, a former lawyer for the Bush administration, is accused of trying to kill his wife after she told him she wanted a divorce.
