Joseph Sincavage, of Stratford, hangs Nazi flag in protest of President Obama

Neighbors say they are disturbed by the flag. (6/26/13)

STRATFORD - Stratford homeowner Joseph Sincavage has hung a Nazi flag outside his Connors Lane home to protest President Barack Obama.

Sincavage says the flag is his way of protesting the president, his policies and administration.

People who live and drive down the busy street say the flag is offensive. Neighbors say the Nazi flag was put out Wednesday morning, replacing the Confederate flag that usually hangs between Sincavage's U.S. and Marine Corps flags.

However, state and local authorities say there is no law prohibiting Sincavage from displaying the flag.

Sincavage is a Marine veteran and says he is expressing his freedom of speech. He says he has no plans to take the flag down.
