FAIRFIELD - The fate of the man accused of killing Tim and Kim Donnelly in their Fairfield jewelry store six years ago now rests with the jury.
Closing arguments were made this morning in the trial of Christopher DiMeo.
While the prosecution highlighted key evidence tying DiMeo to the murders, the defense argued that perhaps Kim Donnelly walked in on her husband during the robbery and when she screamed, Tim Donnelly went for DiMeo's gun, causing chaos and the subsequent shooting.
Testimony lasted seven days and wrapped up yesterday.
