STAMFORD - Jury selection reportedly began this week in the trial of the man accused of opening fire outside a nightclub in Stamford.

Stamford police say they arrested Dayron Wills in July of 2014.

Police say Wills confessed to emptying his handgun's 10-round clip outside Tino's nightclub, hitting five people.

Wills's attorney says his client believed he was defending himself.

The Stamford Advocate reports testimony in that trial will begin on Oct. 26.
