BRIDGEPORT - A jury will began deliberations today on whether the man convicted of killing two Fairfield jewelers should live or die.

Christopher DiMeo was convicted last month of killing Kim and Tim Donnelly during a robbery attempt at their jewelry store in 2005.

DiMeo's lawyers have not disputed that DiMeo shot the couple.

However, they say he does not deserve the death penalty because he was high on heroin and did not go to the store intending to kill anyone.
