BRIDGEPORT - The City of Bridgeport has dedicated a new monument to Korean War veterans, some of whom attended the emotional ceremony Wednesday.

"There isn't a day that I can forget that horrible, horrible memory of fighting and seeing guys massacred," says Korean War veteran Charlie Rich.

Rich, 77, was among dozens of veterans who gathered for the unveiling of the granite monument in the Colonel Henry Mucci Plaza.

Many of the Korean War veterans say the Bridgeport monument proves their war hasn't been forgotten.
