WILTON - The power outages stemming from Saturday's storm are helping to boost business for some companies across southwestern Connecticut, especially Laundromats. Without electricity, residents are flocking to local Laundromats to wash and dry their clothes. The owner of the Wilton Laundromat says his business has doubled since the beginning of the week, and that residents are staying instead of dropping their items off. One resident says she tried to leave her clothes there for the day, but that the service would be faster if she washed them there herself. "The usual thing was people would drop it off at 10 and pick it up at 5, but there's so much wash," says Debbie Espeland. "I think that's why a lot of people are just staying and doing it."Wilton gets hammered by October stormStorm Resource LinksWeather CenterTraffic and Weather
