WOODBRIDGE - A state senator from Milford says she's dropping plans to include a provision in a bill that would have forced Woodbridge to move their municipal elections from May to November.

Gayle Slossberg says she dropped the idea due to strong resistance in Woodbridge.

Many town leaders claimed they got no advanced notice of the proposed changes.

Slossberg says she had originally proposed the change after receiving several requests to move the date and did not realize how much opposition there would be to the plan.
