Lawsuit filed in fatal police crash

ORANGE - The family of one of two teenagers killed when a speeding Milford police cruiser smashed into their car in Orange is suing the officer and the city.

A lawyer for the family of Ashlie Krakowski filed the negligence lawsuit recently in state Superior Court.

The family of the other victim, David Servin, filed state and federal lawsuits in the spring against former Officer Jason Anderson, Officer Richard Pisani and the city.

Police have denied that Anderson and Pisani were racing when Anderson crashed into the teens' car in 2009.

Anderson was fired and is awaiting trial.
