BRIDGEPORT - A lawyer for former Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim told the state Supreme Court today his client has shown remorse for his corrupt actions in office and deserves to win back his law license.

He lost the license following a corruption and bribery conviction in 2003. He was sentenced to nine years in prison.

A three-judge panel rejected Ganim's request last year, saying he failed to show remorse.

Ganim was released from prison in 2010.
