NEW CANAAN - A local woman who made a career out of law has drastically changed life paths and is now a priest in New Canaan.

Lisa Zaina, 52, worked as a lawyer in Washington, D.C. for 24 years, specializing in telecommunications policy. Her most recent position was with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, having been appointed by President Barack Obama.

However, Zaina says she found her calling elsewhere - at the Yale Divinity School. In fact, school dean Greg Sterling says the trend at Yale and other divinity schools shows more women choosing faith as a second career.

Zaina was recently ordained as a priest and has been serving at St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
