NORWALK - The Norwalk man convicted of trying to blackmail David Letterman was released from jail this morning.

Robert "Joe" Halderman served four months of a six-month sentence after getting time off for good behavior.

Halderman admitted to demanding $2,000,000 last fall to keep from revealing personal information about the "Late Show" host.
