NORWALK - A Greenwich family got quite a scare Tuesday evening when lightning struck their garage.

During Tuesday's storm, lightning struck the garage on Sheephill Road after 8 p.m.

Firefighters say the family had a close call. No one was injured and the house is secure.

The homeowner says he heard a loud explosion after the lightning strike and saw smoke emitting from the garage. He thinks the lightning struck a wire and worked its way through the garage's walls.
