TORRINGTON - Litchfield County was among the areas hit hardest by Tuesday's winter storm, leaving residents with nearly 2 feet of snow to remove on Wednesday.

Torrington residents say they saw nearly 20 inches of snow.

Several of them spent the day digging themselves out, clearing driveways and shoveling sidewalks.

They say they're used to handling large mounds of snow during the winter months, but it never gets easier.

Residents add that they cannot wait for spring to arrive.
