GREENWICH - Sam Bridge, the founder of a Greenwich nursery that's lasted 80 seasons, turned 95 this week.

Bridge built his first greenhouse in 1930 when he was 15 to grow and store geraniums. He moved the small business that shares his name to its current location on North Street in the 50s, and now has 30 greenhouses on 20 acres.

The 95-year-old still arrives at work every morning at 7 a.m.
