STAMFORD - Members of the Greenwich-Stamford chapter of the "Tea Party" held a rally in Stamford Saturday to mark the one-year anniversary of the group's establishment.

Organizers say the members of the movement are ready to flex their political muscles and turn their anger into action.

Protesters say they are organizing voter registration drives and neighborhood canvassing events in order to gain Republican seats on town committees.

Barbara Greenhouse, of Monroe, says she was inspired to join the movement because she thinks government spending is out of control.
