WESTPORT - Toyota dealers in southwestern Connecticut have suspended most sales after a national recall that affects eight models from the popular automaker.

The sales manager at one Westport dealership downplayed the suspension saying it was just another day on the sales floor.

Dealers also refused to say how long the suspension would last or what it may mean to their bottom line.

However, the news has many customers worried after Toyota recalled the cars due to a problem with the gas pedal.
