STAMFORD - Stamford police have charged a local woman with breaking the nose of her 15-year-old daughter.

Police say they arrested Lorda Bermudez, 39, after the teen told them her mother punched her and began to choke her following an argument over school Monday.

The judge hearing the case ordered Bermudez held on bond and ordered her to have no contact with her daughter.

Police say the girl is now living with her father.
