Madonna Badger, mother of Stamford fire victims, is engaged

STAMFORD - A woman whose three daughters and parents were killed in a 2011 Christmas morning fire is now engaged.

Madonna Badger says in an article in "Vogue" magazine that she is getting married next September to her longtime friend Bill Duke.

The couple plans to volunteer this Christmas to help children in need.

The fire at Badger's home in Stamford killed 7-year-old twins Grace and Sarah, 9-year-old Lily and Badger's parents.

The city determined the cause was accidental.
