GREENWICH - Today marks the beginning of a major construction project in the Glenville section of Greenwich which could make getting around difficult for drivers.

The plan is to replace underground pipes near the corner of Glenville and Riversville roads that are more than 100 years old.

The project comes on the heels of three recent water main breaks in the area, which may have been partially caused by the aging infrastructure.

Greenwich officials say a portion of the roadway will be torn up at the intersection and the project will take about 29 days.
