HARTFORD - Gov. Dannel Malloy is asking for federal aid for the huge storm that hit southwestern Connecticut on January 12.

As much as two feet of snow covered parts of southwestern Connecticut.

If President Obama declares the storm a federal disaster, several communities would be eligible to receive more than $14 million in aid.
