Man accused of baseball-bat attack appears in court

WEST HAVEN - A Bridgeport man accused of hitting two women with a baseball bat last week in West Haven faced a judge today.

Police say Jerry Tindall, who turned himself in yesterday, used a bat to hit a woman holding a young child Thursday. They say the woman suffered a minor head injury and the child was not hurt.

Authorities say Tindall also hit another woman who tried to intervene, put her in his car and let her go in Bridgeport.

Tindall is being held on $250,000 bond.
