Man accused of beating girlfriend in front of their child

STAMFORD - A Stamford man has been arrested for allegedly beating his girlfriend with a belt in front of their 2-year-old child.

Albi Morales-Aguirre, 27, faces charges of second-degree assault and risk of injury to a child.

His girlfriend claims it all started when he got a phone call from another woman. When she questioned him about it, she says he beat her with a belt. She also says he hit their child, who witnessed the whole thing.

Morales-Aguirre appeared in court today and is currently being held on bond.
