Man accused of firing at Stamford police

STAMFORD - Stamford police say a man is facing charges for firing a gun while being chased by officers.

They say the incident happened near La Quinta Inn on Harvard Avenue Sunday morning.

Police say they were called to the area following reports of a fight.

Officers say they found Juan Peralta wandering at an auto parts store.

When they tried to approach him, police say he ran and fired a single shot from a .22 caliber pistol.
