STRATFORD - After an all-night manhunt, police say they have arrested a man who stabbed and slashed his ex-wife during an argument in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart early this morning.

Police say Jasapersaud Hariprashad, 37, waited outside of his ex-wife's workplace until she came outside, then he stabbed her in the torso and cut her face before forcing her into his car and driving off.

Authorities say the woman remains in good condition at Bridgeport Hospital.   Hariprashad is facing several charges, including attempted murder, assault and kidnapping.  He is being held on $1-million bail and is expected to be arraigned tomorrow.
