NORWALK - A Norwalk man accused of stabbing his wife in the neck with a kitchen knife appeared in court Monday.

A Stamford judge raised the bail for Lisandro Orias, 30, to $1 million and also issued a protective order against him if he makes bail.

Orias was arrested after police say he stabbed his wife in the neck on Saturday in their home at 19 Westport Ave. She is currently listed in satisfactory condition at Norwalk Hospital.

According to police, Orias was already on probation at the time of the crime for assaulting his wife in June.

Orias is due back in Stamford court in January.
