Man arraigned in 2008 Bridgeport murder

BRIDGEPOERT - A man accused in a 2008 Bridgeport murder was arraigned today in Bridgeport Superior Court.

Adolf Sharp, 53, is accused of killing his girlfriend, Sheryl Thomas, in her Adams Street home.

A number of Thomas' family members were in attendance at the arraignment saying they hope justice is served in her death.

A judge set a $2 million bond for Sharp's release.

Officials say Sharp has an extensive criminal history including 39 different convictions for various crimes such as larceny and drug-dealing dating back to 1982.
