BRIDGEPORT - A man accused of attempting to evade police by driving the wrong way on I-95 was arraigned today.

Bridgeport police say Jonathan Medley, 45, drove his SUV north in the southbound breakdown lane between exits 31 and 32 in Stratford after noticing a patrol car following him off the exit at Honeyspot Road.

According to authorities, the pursuit ended when Medley crashed his car at exit 32, got out and attempted to run away.

Drugs and a stun gun were allegedly found in the car. Police also say they witnessed what they believed was a drug deal between Medley and another person.

One person was hurt in the chase when Medley's car sideswiped a Honda Civic.

The judge stated Medley's prior murder conviction played a role in his decision to keep bond at $201,000.
