Man arrested after alleged hit-and-run in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD - One man is under arrest after a hit-and-run crash in Fairfield.

It started when police say Antonio Fuentes, 40, of Bridgeport, was driving a borrowed 1996 Honda when he hit the driver of a BMW and then took off on the Merritt Parkway.

Police say the victim followed while calling police.

State police eventually stopped the suspect just off exit 40A where Fairfield police placed him under arrest.

Police say Fuentes was also involved in a second accident this morning.

He is charged with evading police and driving with a suspended license.

No one was hurt in either crash.
