Man arrested after allegedly punching out window panel at Norwalk Fire Department
NORWALK - Fire officials say a man has been arrested for allegedly smashing a window at a Norwalk fire station.
The Norwalk Fire Department deputy chief says a man in his 40s came up to the house's garage door at around 11 p.m. and started banging on the door and yelling. He then allegedly punched his fist through a window panel.
The deputy chief says the man appeared to have been intoxicated because he seemed highly distraught.

“I actually saw him put his arm through the window and that was about the only 10 seconds he was calm,” said firefighter EJ Maher. “He kept screaming at us.”
Fire officials say the man was arrested and taken to Norwalk Hospital because of some severe cuts. They say the man lives down the street from the fire station.
