Man arrested following police pursuit

WESPORT - Westport police say they arrested a man violating probation after he led officers on a high-speed chase.

Authorities say they tried to pull over 57-year-old John Lockwood, of Waterbury, because he was driving erratically on I-95 at around 7 p.m. Saturday. According to officers, Lockwood eventually crashed into a guardrail near exit 15.

Police say they found a warrant for Lockwood's arrest after they had him in custody. According to officers, he violated probation and failed to appear in court.
